lyrics
As a broken sculpture of divinity
Wandering in the shadows of misanthropy
Rapt within the chambers of relativity
Abstracted through a cosmos of uncertainty
Upon this night of sacrifice
My spirit becomes one with the winds
O' dismal light, entrance my soul
Release me from this mortal coil!
I revere my departure
From this onerous existence
Toward the eternal resolution
Beyond this finite microcosm
Unbind the spell of absolution
My soul was never born, yet will not die
A shattered mirror of self-reflection
Left to haunt this world in obscurity

What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal

Blackbraid quickly followed up their 2022 debut in 2023 with more native folk infused furious black metal. This is by no means a sophomore slump as it is equally excellent, methodical, melodical, and approachable as the first record. 9/10 RJ

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
